Light for North Korea Fund

This satellite picture of the Korean peninsula shows a dramatic difference between South Korea and North Korea at night. The economic collapse that began in the 1990s continues to devastate North Korea (NK) in many ways. NK is a "dark" country spiritually, with Juche ideology as the official state religion. Because Christianity is considered a threat and a top offense against the NK government, fear has caused Christians (many of who became Christians prior to the Korean War in 1950) to be silent about their faith. Many children have heard about Jesus at their parent's deathbed. It is encouraging that bold Christians from China, near the NK border, are risking their lives to cross into NK to carry Bibles and share the gospel.

Voice of the Martyrs has started the "Light to North Korea Fund" to help the spread of the gospel to that country. Please pray how you may participate, whether through interceding in prayer, or perhaps financially.

In the Past Six Months, God Has Taught (or Reminded) Me...

...He equips His children to the work He is calling them to do. (Exodus 4:11)
...To rejoice in His presence always (Phil 4:4)
...That I am commanded to be strong in the Lord, putting on His full armor (Eph. 6:10-17)
...Of the joy in giving to others (Acts 20:35)
...That I am blessed with a prudent and excellent wife (Prov. 19:14, 31:10)
...I am always before the face of God (Psalm 33:13)
...To do *everything* in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father (Col. 3:17)
...Before God saved me, I was not dreadfully sick, but I was dead in my transgressions. (Eph. 2:1)
...That it has been granted to me to not only believe in Christ, but to suffer for His sake. (Phil 1:29)
...That He is always faithful (Psalm 37:25)

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. (1 Timothy 1:15-16)
